One of my favourite painting themes is nature, at least while I’m not painting fantasy creatures. Sometimes I choose beautiful landscapes, sometimes just one detail inspires me – a tree, a cottage or an animal. One piece of our wonderful world, extricated and saved in frame.

Painting this piece, I’ve used traditional techniques: layering and stronger brush strokes for some texture.
